There are several programs out there in which "crate/container fasteners" are
described, some in more detail than needed. As in the Introduction page (the
initial page of WoodenCrates.org), you can read that most, if not all, the
fastener descriptons and specifications were initiated, developed and tested by the US Military. Read carefully and you will discover that this was done in the 1930's. Now you and I know that there have been a great deal of advancements in fastener design, application and performance. Keep an open mind, a willingness to ferret amongst all the different styles, designs, performance capabilities and you will come upon a suprising number of
