    Package Wood for Export Packaging

    Just a reminder...

If you are building crates, boxes or any other wood packaging for shipment outside the U.S. and you are using any kind of lumber or solid wood (not plywood, particle board, composite, OSB, etc.), you MUST use wood that has been stamped HT or MB under the supervision of an accredited agency. You will then be able to have the IPPC Mark applied to the assembled crate or box. If you did not use the proper wood, or if it cannot be verified, you will need to have the packaging treated after it is built. Once this is done, the IPPC Mark may be applied.
