Default Need Support Cleat Spacing Different Per Panel.

I'm creating an LPO-001 and need to change the default spacing on the top panel to be different than the sides and ends.

Crate Pro 5 applies support cleats based on a set of rules. You can change the rules for separately for the sides, ends, top or base panel as needed.

Example: In Set-Up the default support cleat spacing for the style of crate you selected is 'First = 32 inches' 'Rest=24 inches'. You want the support cleat spacing to be 16" on the end panels and 9" on the side panels.

In the design of the crate you want to change:
    • On the end panel tab locate the 'Ends Support Rule' field. 'First' and 'Rest' applies to the support cleat placement. If you change both numbers to 16" and click Run Rule. Crate Pro will add support cleats to be placed between the framing cleats until there is an unsupported span of less than16"
    • Click on the side panel tab. You will see the previous rule change carried into the 'Sides Support Rule' field but the rule will not be applied unless you click on Run Rule. Since it's common to have the same support cleat spacing on all panels, Crate Pro will pre-fill in the previous change to assist you. Enter 9" in the 'First' and 'Rest' field and click on Run Rule on that tab. This will calculate the support cleats for this panel only.

There are some styles that do not allow for support cleats or will not allow the support cleat orientation to be changed. The restriction comes from the Mil-Spec standard that the particular style is built on. You can get more information on a style in the Diagrams module.
