How to get a new contact to show up in the Customer drop down field...
Quick suggestion for a Hint on addressing multiple contacts within the same customer company. If I had this problem, others might also...
Scenario follows:
I want to create a new job for an existing customer who happens to have a different contact name (different engineer) for this specific job. I duplicate the client record and change the contact name in the Details tab, thinking that will be enough to allow the Job/Customer drop down field to show the new entry. It doesn't, and won't until I actually modify the Customer Name in the Contact record too. I have to be careful as this information will show up in Quote and Job related printouts so I only add in the contacts initials at the end of the name.
Bottom line is that customer contact records need to remain unique so that they will show up in the Customer drop down field. Just changing the Contact Name is not enough. You must also modify the customer name slightly so it will show up as "different" inside the Crate Pro drop down list of unique customers.
