Default Open Frame Crate design??? Any suggestions?

    Hello All-

I am rather new to this and I hope someone can help me with this design.

I need to design a crate that essentially is a frame design and open top. When I say “frame design” what I mean is that the front/back and sides are assembled using 2x4’s but there is no plywood to enclose it. Essentially it is just the “frame”. It will need to reside on a pallet base. It may even have "chicken wire" or something similar wrapped around the outside when complete. It has to be very rigid when assembled. It will need to be stackable as well. Can you offer any suggestions for using CratePro for this task?

Thanks is advance for your comments.

    Hi Red Ex
    Excellent Question!
I would use the LLN-005 crate and modify it by just using the upper and lower sheathing boards on the ends and removing the rest. The same on the Front and Aft. If you need a support cleat just add it in on the section you need it in like Top to Bottom. Then on the lid just remove the boards you don't need and you'll have it.
Also you can change the runners from 4x4 and make them 2x4 on edge and add 2 rubstrips

    Good Luck!
