Thumbs up Re: Skid Base versus Sill Base

A skid base is basically a base(floor) with Skids(Runners) underneath for support.
A Sill Base would be the Skid Base with a Sill (2x6, 8 or 10) installed upright on top & around the circumference of the base as well as certain points depending on the product being placed on the base.

A Sill Base provides the most even distribution of weight.
At some point though, as size & weight increase, then the Skid Base would be beneficial.

    THANKS!

I received conflicting answers and I thought I'd better consult with the experts!
