Can I use your fasteners in place of nails for the entire crate? If so, does that save time, money or both?

The application of the Hardy-Built Fasteners depends on many facrors.
The HG Fastener System is primarily used when the containers are to be
returned and reused, thus saving your customer money. However, they are used many times when only a portion, 1/2 panel is to be removed for loading and umloading, as in shipping a filled container from a vendor to an assembly plant where a hinged section of a panel has to be removed for ease of unloading. Disassembled/returned containers can be stacked in less space and cost up to 40% less in freight cost than if a container is returned empty set-up. Also, the freight rate itself is different, producing another savings.
Performance and application are extremely important. Each application should
be examined on an individual basis. For instance, we have customers that
have no land-fill space in their area in which to trash one-way containers.
Nails are cheaper, but the crate/container with the fastener sytem applied is stronger, panel-for-panel and will perform better saving your customer money in the long run. The automotive companies are a good example of savings and
performance.
