Thread: Base Donut (sp?) ???

    Default Base Donut (sp?) ???

I was just given info that I could use donuts on my base in place of skids for some of my really light crates. Our fork drivers are destrying some of our boxes and I need a solution.

What are donuts (sp?) and what is the suggested use?
    Thanks!

Donuts are plastic feet as you describe & they are the shape of a donut.
Bolting them on to the bottom of the crate is a good way for the crate to be brought up off the ground & they are somewhat forklift resistant to puncture but they will if directly hit.

    Just additional info:
These also go by the name Skid Mates. They can be used in place of skids and provide cushioning. Each pad will support about 75/125 lbs so use the correct quantity accordingly. They attach with a 5/16" -18 bolt relatively easily.
